Specializing in quality curriculum development for clients at home and abroad, DemiDec was founded in 1994 by two national champion Academic Decathletes with an enduring passion for the program. Since then, DemiDec has grown into a leading provider of Decathlon study materials in the United States; over 600 schools nationwide use DemiDec.

Recent DemiDec initiatives include the World Scholar's Cup, a new academic competition inspired by Decathlon but customized to meet the needs of students internationally.

DemiDec has also just launched its first SAT prep Academy in Seoul, Korea in conjunction with YBM/Si-sa, Korea's leader in English language education since 1961. A second Academy site in Seoul along with a new site in China are expected to open in January 2008. All of DemiDec's SAT courses in Asia are powered exclusively by the Accolade curriculum.

Andrew L. Crick

Mr. Crick is a member of the faculty at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Acton, Massachusetts. He teaches Advanced Placement English and coaches the Academic Decathlon Team, which has placed in the top ten at the U.S. National Championship in each of the past 7 years. He has developed his expert knowledge of the SAT from over 15 years of experience studying the exam and creating concrete, easy-to-understand lessons to help students score well. Prior to founding Accolade, Mr. Crick personally coached hundreds of students to higher SAT scores, leading more than a dozen to perfect scores. In 2005, Acton-Boxborough students earned the highest average SAT scores in the entire state of Massachusetts.

Mr. Crick received his B.A. degree in English from Harvard University, his M.Ed. degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and his M.A. degree in English from the University of Virginia/Charlottesville.

Drew W. Houston

Mr. Houston is an experienced entrepreneur and software architect and has held leading engineering roles at startup and early stage companies including Bit9, Soft Servo Systems, and SurfProtect, LLC, where he served as Chief Architect. He earned top individual finalist honors in MIT's 6.370 annual programming competition in 2005 and also ranked in the top 1% of 14,000 registered competitors in the TopCoder international programming competition in 2002. Mr. Houston scored a perfect 1600 on the previous version of the SAT in addition to a perfect 2400 on the new SAT in March 2005.

Mr. Houston received his B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
