Accolade helped me actually sit down and study for the SAT when I was especially busy. The strategies were more personalized compared with those from the regular Kaplan and Princeton prep books. I was really happy with my final SAT results, especially my score improvement on Critical Reading, which had always been my weakest subject. Thanks for creating such a flexible course. I'd recommend this course to friends.

One of the best things about the Accolade system was that I could work independently online, but we had due dates for assignments. This helped me set aside time for studying, which I may not have done otherwise. I really liked the vocabulary module. The set up with previous words and definitions showing at the bottom reiterated older words and helped me memorize definitions. (The new interface is nice as well, I was just checking it out . . . and I like that you can still go back to the old interface.) The higher levels were especially challenging. The essay feedback was also helpful, and the timed practice writing sessions were key. I think the essay tutorial was the strongest for helping me prepare because that was the section I was most nervous about, but I knew exactly how to go about writing it on the actual test--the ABC method and planning before starting really worked. Finally, I read almost the entire grammar tutorial the day before, and the nitty gritty details about verb forms were helpful.

Thanks Accolade. It was such a relief to get such a big thing out of the way in March, and I think the course really helped me gain the confidence to do well the first time around.

I think it was a very good course because it gave me a great number of strategies and tips. I received a lot of individual attention. . . . I was happy with all of the examples given to improve my writing skills and essay also. I would definitely recommend it to my friends because it challenged me and there were many "insider" tips.

I felt the Accolade course was very professional and well-run. It had aspects that anyone and everyone can learn the SAT techniques from. My SAT results of 2130 were not expected of me by my parents. It was a very pleasant surprise for them. I would definitely recommend it.

It all came together really well. Being able to print 3 essays the night before and not look at them until the ride to the test site really got my mind going and seemed to help. I felt by taking the course earlier I had more time to prepare because I had all the techniques down a month before I took it and I could focus on other things, such as vocab.

The comprehensive tutorials were excellent for latching onto the concepts of beating the SAT. The drills were very helpful for trying out those new skills. I was very happy that my essay was graded and given feedback which helped point out the mistakes and holes that I would have missed myself. The live classes were definitely helpful for remembering the skills.

Overall, I believe Accolade did a fantastic job of deciphering "SAT land" and explaining it to the students in easily digestible tutorials. In only four live classes, I was able to receive the guidance I needed to reach my goal score. The logical skills I learned from Accolade were much more valuable than anything else I could have learned. I would definitely recommend the course to a friend, not only because it's functional, but it is also the most affordable class of its kind available. I am very happy with my SAT results.

Once again, thank you for creating this course! If I had not learned some of the tricks you taught me, my Critical Reading score would have been the worst of the three (It's a miracle that score is above 700). I wish you the best of luck in continuing your program!

The nice surprise for me was that my son did so well on the writing portion, as writing has been the most difficult skill for [him to master in] school. He very much was motivated by the course, and he found it very valuable.

The live lectures, drills and vocabulary modules were the most helpful. My vocabulary was weak and the flashcards helped me build it. Also, the drills were really good practice.

I found the Accolade course to be extremely helpful. The online nature of the course gave me good flexibility and let me do the homework at my own time. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. In terms of my final SAT results, I was surprised by the improvement I made.

Overall, the course material was extremely helpful in making sure that I was well-prepared for the SAT.

I think that the essay feedback was especially helpful, because you really can't get that kind of feedback anywhere else (like from a book). I also thought that the drills, especially with regards to math and writing, were helpful, because they focused on a specific area each time and managed to be really comprehensive.

I think taking the Accolade course definitely improved my son's scores over what they would have been, helped get him in the right frame of mind in the weeks leading up to the exam, and decreased his overall anxiety and "fear of the unknown." The combined online/live classes approach was just right for him. I would definitely recommend the course to a friend.

Overall, I think the online feature was the most important aspect for my son. He was able to do the work whenever and wherever he wanted and work at his own pace which suited him very well. Bite-sized pieces worked well for him too.

As a parent, I was very pleased with the program. I noticed a change in my son once he started the course. Before Accolade, he was trying to manage preparing for the SATs on his own. As a typical teenager, he set up goals to practice, but then didn't always follow through. He worried that he wasn't doing enough prep. Once he started the program and began to receive emails with assignments, he relaxed and just completed the assignments. He seemed less stressed; it was as if he felt that someone was watching over him and making sure that he was going to be prepared.

The assignments were very manageable. He was able to complete them and fit them into his weekly schedule.

The SAT covers a wide range of topics, and setting up a study schedule can be tedious and intimidating. Luckily, the Accolade course did that for me. It showed me what topics were going to be tested, and it taught me useful strategies for each of those topics. E-mails from the Accolade instructors kept me on track with my studying and allowed me to organize my time effectively. The best part about the course is the flexibility and freedom. I could access the site whenever I wanted, so I was not confined to a rigid schedule. This is particularly helpful for students with very busy lives because the student is able to choose the study time that is right for him or her.

I liked the site a lot. It was easy to access and had great navigation. The tutorials were very thorough and had great examples. I particularly liked the outlines at the end of each tutorial; they were extremely helpful for reviewing all of the strategies. The essay feedback system was also very helpful. The vocabulary tutorial was very good (esp. the new one).
